OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Conscious Hospitality inthe Heart of Venice
Since opening in 2019, Il Palazzo Experimental has placed respect for nature at the core of its philosophy. From the choice of materials in our common areas to our daily operations, we are constantly committed to reducing our environmental impact without ever compromising your comfort.
We are currently undergoing the certification process for the Green Key (Clef Verte) label, the leading international standard for excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. This charter outlines the concrete actions we are already taking to ensure an exceptional stay in total harmony with the local territory.
1. RAISING AWARENESS AND SHARING
Change begins with people. That is why we invest in the awareness of both our team and our guests:
· Continuous Training: Our Environmental Manager and the entire staff are trained in daily "eco-gestures" and the challenges of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
· Responsible Selection: We select our partners and suppliers based on their social and environmental commitments.
· Guest Involvement: We provide educational displays to encourage sustainable practices during your stay.
· Inclusivity:We guarantee a dedicated welcome for people with reduced mobility to ensure acomfortable and pleasant stay for everyone.
2. OPTIMIZING RESOURCES: WATER AND ENERGY
We closely monitor ourconsumption to preserve vital resources:
· Water Conservation: We have installed pressure reducers and aerators on taps and showers, and we use smart systems for watering our green spaces to limit the use of potable water.
· Energy Efficiency: 100% of our lighting is LED or low-consumption. Common areas are equipped with motion sensors and timers to avoid unnecessary electricity use.
· Clean Energy: We are committed to renewable energy development through contracts with green energy providers.
· Rigorous Monitoring: We perform monthly meter readings to constantly optimize our energy management.
3. WASTE REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT
Our goal is to minimize our ecological footprint through circular economy actions:
· Waste Sorting: Every room and common area is equipped with systems to encourage correct waste separation.
· Fighting Single-Use Plastics: We prioritize bulk purchases or large-format packaging. We are currently implementing refillable dispensers for hygiene products to eliminate single-use plastic waste.
· Giving a Second Life: We collaborate with local recycling centers and donate old equipment or furniture to charitable organizations.
4. WELL-BEING OF GUESTS AND THE TEAM
A healthy environment isthe foundation of our hospitality:
· Ethical and Local Cuisine: Our menus celebrate local, organic, and seasonal products, as well as fair-trade ingredients, with a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options.
· Green Cleaning: We use steam technology and Ecolabel certified cleaningproducts. We have banned the use of bleach to ensure better air quality andprotect aquatic ecosystems.
· Pure Air: Our establishment is entirely non-smoking.
5. FUTURE VISION
Our commitment is a journey of constant evolution:
· Natural Greenery: Our outdoor spaces are maintained without pesticides, using natural gardening methods and compost. We will soon be creating an urban vegetable garden to supply our bar and restaurant.
· Constant Improvement: Every year, we set new goals based on international sustainability criteria.
Your contribution is precious. If you have any suggestions on how we can further improve our ecological footprint, please do not hesitate to share them with us. Thank you for supporting us onthis journey toward increasingly responsible hospitality.
