MILANO-VENEZIA January 26th
Italian Supper Club is incredibly excited to announce their very first dinner outside London in what is going to be a great night of bold flavours, interesting ingredients and loads of fun. In Milano-Venezia the menu will draw inspiration from the rich Milanese and Venetian food tradition and wants to bring to the table the buzz of 2 of the most visionary cities in the North of Italy.
We will start the evening with different Chicchetti alla Milanese to pay tribute to the great habit both cities have on aperitivo: a few nibbles to wet your appetite before the main event. They will include “deep fried schie and white polenta”, a typical small prawn fished in the lagoon at this specific time of the year and then “homemade brioche, malga butter and anchovies”
For mains we will have a classic saffron milanese risotto paired with canestrelli, a small type of typical Venetian scallop and pork neck milanese with pumpkin in saor.
To finish things off, a typical Venetian pinza served panettone style with plenty of raisins and a boozy sauce. Wine for the nights will be an exquisite selection of wines from Lombardia and Veneto.
